MTN was established in 2009 as a platform from which to develop and launch a series of new television channels that would aim to set the highest benchmark for quality, innovation and entertainment for a Persian speaking audience.
Our mission is to create a brand family that will, as their common denominators, possess integrity and respect for their viewers, each individual channel ensuring that whether through original or licensed productions, there is no compromise in striving to broadcast programmes that can be characterised as best-in-class.

Marjan TV Network launched Manoto 1 in October 2010, a channel broadcasting a stream of vibrant, dynamic entertainment ranging from documentaries to talent shows, 60% of which consisted of original productions created in the MTN studios. Its broad spectrum of content quickly gained an unprecedented following and fanbase amongst Persian-language viewers and Manoto 1 has continued to go from strength to strength in every aspect of its operations since its launch. Marjan TV Network’s continual investment in original content – whether in the form of reality shows, talent contests, documentaries or other types of factual entertainment – has been pioneering in the context of the Persian-language market, and has been instrumental in establishing Manoto TV as the leading choice for satellite viewers throughout Iran, the middle east and Europe.
